I am Jelena Brkić, one of the founders of the Aurora Center for Mothers, as well as the initiator of this innovative idea in our country.

During my stay in Germany, I had the opportunity to get acquainted with a different social system than the one I knew. But the main beginning of the idea begins with my visit to a Center for Mothers in Stuttgart, that was my first introduction to this concept of work. After several visits to the same center, I felt the desire to give my personal contribution to this Center, so I soon started volunteering in it, which fulfilled me on a personal level. I was extremely fulfilled because I had the opportunity to help other women and at the same time strengthen my faith in the strength of the individual. 

I thought a lot and realized that a Center like this with a different concept of work in our area and innovative activities is more than needed in our country. I gathered my team, which consisted of Ljiljana Marinković and Mirjana Marinković, and soon we got down to business with the idea of giving every woman back her strength in the role of a fighter for a better and better life. Of course, I would not have been able to do this without the support of my friends from Germany, who helped me with the establishment and still help me achieve our common goals and realize our ideas. I sincerely hope that women will wake up to the strength they carry inside and that they will make this world better for everyone!
